Gracias

Hola a todos,

I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU!!!!! to everybody for being so great with Leo and the dogs. I can´t tell you how much I appreciate you taking care of Leo after the surgery and helping out with the dogs every single day :) It made me able to relax and enjoy the trip more, and I just wanted to let you guys know how much it means to me to know that I have such great people to count on.

Today we had the last class (woohoo! no more 6:30 wakeup call) and tomorrow I will be giving oral exams and then we´re done. I can´t wait for Barcelona and Italy!

I love you guys,

La última semana

Hola a todos...

We´re in our last week in Granada, and I´m so excited to see Italy in a week or so! This week in Granada we are visiting the Arab Baths and we will be seeing a Flamenco show. It´s been a great (and very tiring) month here. We´ve really seen everything there is to see in Spain: Madrid, Toledo, Segovia, Sevilla, Córdoba, Torremolinos, Málaga, cuevas de Nerja, Granada...and the list goes on and on.

I had lunch at María´s again yesterday and it was scrumptious. We are going out for coffee on Friday one last time before I go. I also want to try to get to the movies one last time too. We went to see a spanish film with the students last week that was interesting. This Sunday we leave Granada at 1:30am to drive to Madrid by bus. Then I will leave Aurelia and the students at the airport and I will pick up Leo at arrivals!!!!! I´m super excited to see you honey! And I can´t wait to see everyone else in a few more weeks. Also, I´m dying to know if María José is having a boy or a girl, so someone please please please let me know.

I miss you guys and I´ll see you soon!
Love,
Annie

This week we are in Granada and just attending classes. Spain has welcomed a lovely cold front and it´s been freezing. But it´s wonderful to walk around the city and then sit in a warm café and have hot chocolate and churros. And by hot chocolate, I mean hot chocolate pudding....to die for. January is the sale month for Spain, so all of the stores are offering Rebajas (sales), and honestly, you can pass an entire afternoon just wandering from store to store. This morning my class had a scavenger hunt around one of the main plazas and they had to find all sorts of things like a white coat, wool socks, a belt that cost more that 35 euros. It was really fun and they did a great job.

The inaugaration was a pretty big deal here. All of the bars put it on, and the Spaniards were really excited. It was so neat to watch history taking place.

I miss you guys and I´ll see you soon!
Love,
Annie
